ABOUT YOUR HOME INSPECTOR

DEDICATED – PROFESSIONAL – TRAINED

BECOMING A HOME INSPECTOR

My name is Darrell Holdcroft; I own HouseCo and am the lead home inspector. I am a certified InterNACHI Certified home inspector. You can hire us with peace of mind because we are fully insured and licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana. I spent several years traveling the country during my corporate career. This helped me to appreciate calling Louisville home and I have been blessed to raise my family here. In the late 80s, I worked for a home builder and became knowledgeable about residential construction. I enjoyed the business so much I joined an engineer battalion in the Army where I learned basic building and drafting techniques. After leaving the Army, I gained experience in the commercial construction industry working for a national company that installed commercial water treatment systems in grocery stores. Experiences with this corporation offered me additional skills with the plumbing and electrical trades. Throughout my career, the importance of good building practices was instilled in me, and this guides me as a home inspector today.

Using The Best To Deliver The Best

UTILIZING TECHNOLOGY

We make use of the latest in technological advancements to gather the most accurate information possible and then reporting it to you in a way that is convenient and efficient

Our desire to continue learning and improving provides a natural desire to avail ourselves of the technology available to use in home inspections. These technological advancements allow us to collect precise data in a safe and reliable way.

We share this with you via electronic reporting that is easy to share and read with any electronic device.

DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY

Using a drone to capture images is one way we provide you with better photos of your home. The drone can get up higher than a ladder and take high-quality pictures to locate problem areas easily. All the while, I can focus on your home instead of being concerned for my safety on a ladder.

THERMAL IMAGING

The naked eye is limited. Thermal imaging exposes air leaks, verifies insulation levels, and can even identify water leaks behind walls by reading temperatures. Our training enables us to use these specialty cameras proficiently to improve the inspections we perform.

MOISTURE READER

The moisture content can reveal a lot about a home. We use a moisture meter to identify problem areas or determine that visible stains are old and dried out: “The leak is fixed!” Using the best technology available, we can scan areas without putting unnecessary holes into finished surfaces.
