Residential Inspections
Certified and Licensed home inspection that covers your roof, exterior, attic, heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical structural, foundation, and more.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer. It enters homes through cracks, holes, and soil in the foundation. I will test for Radon on the lowest living, or potential living, level of your home to ensure dangerous levels of radon are not present.
Scheduling termites/WDI inspections
Don’t let your home fall victim to termite infestation. I outsource my termite inspections to the best local and certified technicians to inspect your home for termites to ensure you are informed.
Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging is included FREE with every home inspection (a $150 value!). Thermal imaging can allow me to see things like moisture intrusion, plumbing leaks, and overheating electrical.
Sewer Scope Inspections
If you think there might be problems with your plumbing system, then you should get a sewer scope inspection. This inspection helps identify issues before it causes costly damage to your home and saves money on repairs.

He makes the inspection process extremely easy from start to finish, and is quick to return inspection reports. I cannot recommend Darrell enough!read moreread lessRandy Lefebvre2/05/2024Bottom Line Up Front, Darrell did an outstanding job on this inspection. I have not bought a house in 13 years and Darrell was the most patient and true gentleman with a very articulate explanation of everything he inspected throughout the house. His #1 concern for the inspection was the safety of my Family buying a house that is in excellent standing and that is hard to come by these days in business. Not only did Darrell explain everything in detail, but he also used all of the Thermo Gear showing me all the walls and showing the actual temperature flowing through the vents. He was on the roof and looking at the shingles and waterspouts being in the wrong place. He allowed me to take notes and video the conversations making sure I understood the entire house with both recommendations and required fixes. The entire inspection took almost four hours as the house was large and his process is organized and easy to follow. Within 12 hours the entire report was complete with great pictures and details for all of the areas needed to be fixed and areas recommended to fix. Last note, I am so glad I did the Radon Test as he found a Radon issue in the basement and now will get fixed for us to move in as his equipment is first class!! If there were 10 Golden Stars, he would earn them! Hire him to do your Home Inspections.read moreread less

Technology = The Best Home Inspections
I make use of the latest technological advancements to gather the most accurate information possible and then report it to you in a way that is convenient and efficient.
My desire to continue learning and improving provides a natural desire to equip ourselves with the technology available to use in home inspections. These technological advancements allow me to collect precise data in a safe and reliable way.
I share this with you via electronic reporting that is easy to share and read with any electronic device. All of these tools are used on every home inspection at no additional charge.
DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY
I climb on and walk on every roof I safely can. It is sometimes unsafe to traverse a roof due to pitch, weather conditions, height, metal/clay tile, or roof structure in poor condition. For those times I will use an aerial drone to inspect and provide high-resolution pictures and videos.
THERMAL IMAGING
The naked eye is limited. Thermal imaging exposes air leaks, verifies insulation levels, and can even identify water leaks behind walls by reading temperatures. Our training enables us to use these specialty cameras proficiently to improve the inspections I perform.
MOISTURE METERS
The moisture content can reveal a lot about a home. I use a moisture meter to identify problem areas or determine if moisture stains are active leaks or stains from past issues. Using the best technology available, I can scan areas without putting unnecessary holes into finished surfaces
Our Report
While HouseCo Home Inspection Services encourages my clients to walk through the home with me, I understand that you may be too busy, and may not have time to do so.
Regardless of whether or not you attend the inspection, I will compile a comprehensive Spectora report, which includes all of the information you need to determine the condition of the home.
I will deliver your report within 24 hours of the conclusion of your home inspection, so that you can quickly access a full overview of our findings – and discuss them with us and your agent.
Frequently Asked Questions
Buying or selling a home can be a stressful experience, but I’m here to ensure you know what to expect during your home inspection.
A home inspection includes checking for any structural issues such as foundation cracks, roof leaks, plumbing issues, electrical wiring, heating/cooling systems, insulation, windows, doors, chimneys, etc. Depending on how big the property is, a home inspection typically takes 2-3 hours.
Ensure all inspection points are free from clutter, including any closets that might lead to a crawlspace or attic, and clearing some space around your home’s perimeter. It’s also important to check the functionality of all built-in appliances, electric, and gas. If you don’t plan to attend the inspection, make sure your inspector has access to the home, and all pets are properly contained or moved.
A home doesn’t pass or fail an inspection. Instead, a home inspection is a thorough audit of your home’s components. In most cases, there will be concerns marked on your home inspection report, but these are strictly informative.
While you can legally skip a home inspection in many cases, doing so could mean you may end up buying a home that has major issues that need to be fixed.
While a home inspector may recommend some minor repairs, they are not qualified to make major repairs. He or she can provide information about what needs to be repaired — and it might be helpful to know that information — but the decision to actually do the work lies solely with the homeowner. Not only does this give you the freedom to choose your contractors, but it also helps prevent a conflict of interest.
A home inspection can affect appraisals for two reasons: 1) The inspector may find something wrong with the property that would lower the value of the home, 2) The inspector may find things that need repair which could increase the value of the home. If the inspection finds issues that require repairs, then the seller has to decide whether they want to fix them themselves, or hire someone else to do it. If the buyer wants to purchase the home, he/she must be willing to pay for those repairs.
